About Project
Future Learning Unveiled: Generational College – Bridging Ages in Chatham’s Innovative Educational Hub
The “Generational College” is a proposed development situated in Chatham, Kent. The project is the result of a collaboration between the University of Kent, Medway Council, and Microsoft, with the aim of establishing a community college. The building will span approximately 1454 m² and will include purpose-built spaces for teaching courses in personal finance, foundational English and maths, as well as private booths for 1-1 tutoring sessions. The cafe area has been thoughtfully designed to integrate with the lecture theatre space, providing a seamless transition between the two. Additionally, the workshop area is intended to bring together individuals from different age groups to create tangible projects, thereby bridging the gap between the young and old.
